domestic violence is something I've talked about on the show numerous times.

It's one of the most frequent calls we get on 911, and it can be dangerous for all involved.

Most of the time, we get the call stating there's an argument or an X is refusing to leave.

Maybe after breaking up, the telephone chatting happens and the ex gets invited back over.

Then the next morning, the old ways resume and arguments start up again.

Fewer times, the situation escalates, and it's not just words that are being used.

The whole thing gets violent.

Someone pushing the other, maybe hitting, strangling, and then sometimes someone might pick up a weapon.

That's when it can get very bad.

But out of all the domestic type situations, the ones with a long and violent history can be

worse than all the rest. Protection orders or restraining orders, they can be issued.

With the possibility of arrest for violating one of those,

you would think it might stop someone from further contact.

But that doesn't always happen.

It can actually inflame what happened, and things can turn deadly.

In this episode, I'll be talking about a couple incidents where exactly that happened.
