from London I'm James Kimara Sami. It is nearly a week since Israel announced a

daily pause in military activity in part of southern

Gaza to make it easier for aid trucks to enter the territory via the main Karim Shalom

crossing point. But that pause does not mean the fighting has stopped in other parts of the

territory in a week when disagreements between Israel's military and its government over the

war against Hamas have become increasingly public.

According to the International Committee of the Red Cross, 22 people were killed on Friday

when what the Aid Agency described as heavy caliber projectiles, hit an area where displaced people were

sheltering near its office in almoasi a coastal district on the edge of the

southern garden city of Raffer. The Red Cross has not said who it believes was

responsible. The Israeli military says the incident is under review. Families of

the victims gathered outside a hospital in the town of Han Yunus, among them Mona Ashur, who lost her husband.

We were inside our hand when a sound bomb exploded near the Red Cross tents.

My husband went outside at the first explosion.

Then a second bomb went off, even closer to the Red Cross door, and people began to gather.

I tried to communicate with my husband, but was unable to.

We fled as we were in our clothes and barefoot. I tried again to

communicate with my husband but couldn't find him.

William Schumburg is head of the International Committee of the Red Cross's delegation in Gaza,

and he spoke to me from its office in Almoasi where Friday's attack took place.

I mean, the scenes that we witnessed yesterday were tragic, horrific.
