Holy Smokes! It's Labor Day weekend!

Hopefully this second set from the second Field Trip at the Oregon Country Fairgrounds can help you get in the mood for some fun and frolic as we celebrate the passing of another summer...

This one starts with the debut of 'Keep Your Day Job' -- and not in the encore slot! Another debut - 'West LA Fadeaway' is also on the menu here. The pre-drums 'Playin In the Band' lifts things up while the post drums 'Wheel'>'Other One' is probably the highlight of this set..

Jerry pulls out a very unusual 'Dupree's Diamond Blues' as the encore here which I'm sure delighted the faithful..

0:07.6	This is a professor and this week we're going to listen to the second set. From the second field trip at the Oregon County
0:14.7	Fairgrounds, Venita Oregon, August 28th, 1982. The second set starts off with
0:19.9	the first performance of keep your day job.
0:24.6	What a surprise that must have been to the heads in attendance.
0:27.6	From everything I read, they really enjoyed it
0:29.4	because, of course, it was the first time they ever heard it.
0:31.6	And it sounded pretty funky.
0:33.3	So that went into Man Smart Woman Smarter.
0:36.0	Then again another debut West LA fadeaway.
0:39.8	Then Brent takes us far from me.
0:42.1	And then the band gets into things with great playing in the band drums
0:45.1	and space follows the wheel into the other one into trucking into Black Peter back into playing in the band
0:52.3	really nice combo there that especially that into Black Peter, back into playing in the band.
0:52.8	Really nice combo there, especially that post-drum segment,
0:56.8	I think is worth your time.
0:58.4	The wheel and the other one are particularly good.
1:02.2	They then end with one more Saturday night. They come back with a very odd encore, Dupree's Diamond Blues, but it was a welcome one that hadn't been played in some time, so people really enjoyed it.
1:13.7	So odd choice for an encore, but nevertheless,
1:18.0	it was one of those shows, right?
