And tonight we're going to finish listening to the second set of September 2nd, 1979.

This is a great show.

I think you know if you listen to the first set last week,

it's got some fantastic playing by Jerry and by Brent, and tonight's second set starts with Sampson Delilah then goes into Ramble on

Rose and then Terrapin Station goes into a fabulous let it grow. This is where the show really gets special.

Then we go into some drums in space, which features some incredible Jerry jamming. and then a marvelous Stella Blue in the truck and nobody's

fault but mine jam and then around and around.

Now there is a great US Blue Encore, US Blue's Encore, but it's only available in the audience format and so I didn't

include it in this week's podcast.

Of course this is the anniversary of Jerry Garcia's birthday and I decided that rather than try to make a

compilation celebration I would just continue with what I do every week which is to

celebrate the incredible musical virtuosity of this
