Summary

A quintessential 1972 Grateful Dead second set is on the docket for this week's Deadpod. This set from July 26th, 1972, at Portland's Paramont Theater clocks in at a little over two hours.. It features a number of wonderful highlights, including one of the last performances of 'You Win Again', and early 'He's Gone', and to top it all off, a 30 minute+ Dark Star. While this Dark Star is clearly the highlight of the set, there are stunning performances throughout - capped off by a smoking hot 'Not Fade Away->Goin' Down The Road Feelin' Bad->Not Fade Away'.. don't miss it!!

0:06.0	This week we have a particularly long and interesting Dead Pod as we'll be playing the second set of the band's performance from July 26 1972 at the
0:16.1	Paramount Theater in Portland Oregon. This one's going to clock in a little over two
0:19.7	hours of Prime Dead. It starts out with a great promised land, which they began to open up sets with,
0:26.0	follows that with a tune that was relatively new at the time he's gone.
0:31.0	Me and my uncle follows, then you win again. A song they'd only perform
0:35.7	a couple more times and then retire following the death of Pigpen. Greatest story ever told follows
0:42.2	that 1972 song,
0:44.0	a feel to this song with a lot of pump song, that pump song action goes through it.
0:49.0	Very interesting and up-tempo.
0:51.0	Follow that with the Three Garcia songs. Ramble on Rose, really nicely done.
0:55.9	Of course, Dark Star, the highlight of this show clocks in in over 30 minutes.
1:00.4	It's really quite exploratory and I think you'll, if're a fan of Dark Star you'll really enjoy this one. It contains both verses and it's very well done and that goes into comes a time always a favorite of mine.
1:13.8	Sugar Magnolia follows, gets a crowd back on their feet.
1:16.2	Brown-eyed women beat it on down the line.
1:18.5	Stella Blue follows.
1:19.9	Then they close the set with not fade away into going down the road feeling bad into not fade away
1:25.3	They come back with a one more Saturday night encores if the crowd hadn't had enough by this point
