Hello and welcome to Dead Pod for the week of June 8th, 2012.

This is a professor, I'm so glad to pick this up this week.

This week's show is a nice contrast to last week's from 1977.

This comes to us from June the 14th, 1976, long on my listener request list.

This one comes from the Beacon Theater in New York City, New York.

Happens to be a Betty Cantner recording or a Betty Board and so you're guaranteed a really nice sounding recording.

I think you'll enjoy that.

We'll hear the first set this week and the second set next week.

It starts out with cold rain of snow.

Mama tried, road Jimmy.

Then it goes into Cassidy, brown-eyed women, big river might as well.

What was new tunes at the time, Lazy Lightning into Supplication, Tennessee Jet, and then a delicious playing in the band.

The boys are in no hurry on this night.

I guess that's kind of the case in 1976 shows and that's

indicated by the pacing of the songs as well as the interminable breaks for

tuning between songs, some of which I edited out for the purpose of making

the recording more pleasurable to listen to.

I left a couple of them in there to give you a taste of what the show was like but I did

edit a few of those out just a word of disclaimer here.
