Summary

This week's Deadpod features a fine show from June 24, 1976 at the Tower Theater in Upper Darby PA, near Philadelphia.

This spring '76 tour features mail order tickets for the first time, and rejuvenated vocals from Bob and Donna, who seem to have benefited from the time off. This particular show was broadcast on FM but this is a soundboard copy and I think it sounds great. This one also has a hilarious opening by Bob and Phil - worth keeping the rather longish tuning in place ;)

I think you'll find that Keith is particularly fine throughout, but especially on Big River..

0:06.0	This week I decided to bring you a show from 1976.

0:21.7	but we have a sound board here that came out a while back and sounds excellent, so I hope you enjoy it.
0:27.0	It starts out with a fairly long tuning and a weird stage announcement that's kind of funny from Bob and Phil so be patient there but then they break into a great cold rain and snow
0:38.2	They follow with a wonderful big river has a great Keith solo in there that he could pull out every once in a while really nice to hear
0:45.8	Friend of the devil slows things down a little but very
0:49.3	Solve.
0:50.6	Cassidy follows it must have been the roses and then Bob kind of lightens the mood a bit with a lazy lightning and disupplication.
0:58.0	A great Tennessee Jed follows, listen to Jerry's stylings on this one I really make me smile. Looks like Rain and then Jerry busts out of
1:07.1	Scarlet Bagonia's in the first set. There's a great deal of jamming going on very nicely played. I think you'll enjoy it. They close the
1:18.0	set with a rock in Promised Land. I'm sure that everybody needed a break by
1:21.5	that. That's a 12 song first set.
1:24.0	And while it's 76, I think all in all the tempo
1:27.5	is quite nicely done.
