Hello and welcome to the Dead Pot for the week of May 30th 2008.

I'm so glad he could pick us up this week.

This week we're going to hear the second set from Bruce Hornsby's first show with

Grateful Dead, September 15th 1990 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

This is a great rockin show, as I said last week, and I think the first set proves it.

The second set starts with a wonderful weight, the weight, and the band and the crowd sing along and have a

great time with it. It goes into playing in the band, which has done really well. The whole

first part of the second set is done really well.

The playing in the band goes into a marvelous crazy

and then into Uncle John's band.

I think you'll really enjoy this first part of the second set.

The rest of the second set features the very first or the

last rather give me some loving ever done after Brent's passing the only time they

did it without Brent the The band, the crowd goes wild.

Then it features Stella Blue and Throwing Stones not fade away.

I really rock and show the ballads like Stella Blue are not quite as good as they were later in the run,

but still a very fine show and a great Saturday night encord to round it out.
