Summary

This week we are treated to the second set from the band's performance in Troy NY at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute on May 7, 1978.

This is a solid set throughout, featuring the opening Scarlet>Fire which clocks in at over 20 minutes with some exceptional Garcia licks. The 'Estimated Prophet' that follows features some nice Garcia work on the wahwah as well. 'He's Gone' slows things down a touch and leads into Drums.

A great 'Iko, Iko' comes out of drums - and I read that Donna and Bob were doing a hulu dance during it ;) 'The Other One' that follows has some nice Phil bombs. 'Black Peter' follows and is as charged with emotion as any you'll hear. 'Around and Around' closes the set, and they come back for a 'U.S. Blues' encore.

0:10.1	from the band's performance at the Fieldhouse at Renslard Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York, May 7th, 1978.
0:18.0	This one starts out with a scorch and scar with fire almost, well, over 20 20 minutes long Jerry has some really nice
0:24.0	licks in that fire in particular. Estimated follows real nice it's real it's really it's
0:29.8	very excellent it's an excellent estimated profit Jerry does some interesting work on the Wawa pedal here that you might enjoy. He's gone, Follos slows things down a little bit into drums. It's a fairly long drums and space set.
0:43.0	Iko Iko follows.
0:44.0	I heard, this is quite joyous and I read that Bobby and Donna were doing a Hulu during this
0:51.0	Iko, so you know the band was having fun. That goes into a nice other one
0:55.0	Phil drops some nice bombs there and then the highlight of this second set is a very emotional
0:59.9	Black Peter. This is a great one. It does have an audience patch in it that unfortunately
1:04.6	but it doesn't attract that much from the depth of feeling in this song.
1:10.0	They closed set with Round and Round, come back with a US Blues encore.
1:13.6	But all in all, quite a nice second set.
