Summary

This week we continue with the second set of the band's performance from The Ohio State University on September 30, 1976. This features an unusual setlist starting with an unexpected and rather powerful 'Lazy Lightning', and then, after some lyrical stumbles, goes into a heated 'Supplication'. 'It Must Have Been the Roses' starts out somewhat slowly but builds to a very nice finish. An excellent 'Samson and Delilah' follows, with Phil throwing out some snappy bass lines. The band then moves into the jamming portion of the show, with 'Saint Stephen' followed by a neat little jam before heading into a powerful 'Not Fade Away'. Drums moves into a dark murky place before we hear the opening chords of a fine 'Wharf Rat' which follows. They then move into the 'Not Fade Away' reprise, then a short 'Saint Stephen' reprise before closing the set, a bit clumsily, with 'Around and Around'.

The encore however is quite a treat, as they return for a intense and powerful 'Morning Dew'.

0:04.0	and I'm so glad he could pick us up this week. This week we get to continue with the second set.
0:08.5	The band's performance on September 30th, 1976 at the Mershon Auditorium at the Ohio State
0:14.8	University in Columbus, Ohio, an interesting second set. It features a kind of a unique set list,
0:22.3	which is kind of, I guess, par from 1976 that era starts out with an odd, I think it's kind of
0:30.2	an odd choice for an opener lazy lightning and it's played a bit fast. It goes into a nice
0:34.8	supplication however. Things settled down a bit with it must have been the roses and then we get a
0:40.4	great Samson in Delilah. Check out Phil's lead on this and he really does a great job here
0:46.4	leading the band on this one. Then it goes into a Saint Stephen, a nice jam, end-of-not-fade way,
0:51.5	end-of-drums, a beautiful warfare that comes out and then back into a not-fade away
0:56.6	reprise and then it goes into a short Saint Stephen reprise and then around and around and it
1:02.8	closes with a long morning dew encore. I should have said it didn't close, it closed with the
1:08.7	all around and around but they come back with this for almost 14-minute long morning dew encore.
1:13.6	So very interesting show. There are some audience patches in this. The sound quality is a bit
1:19.9	uneven at times but still. It's 76 dead and there aren't many of those around that we haven't
