Summary

This week's Deadpod features the 2nd set from the band's March 30th, 1987 performance at the Spectrum in Philadelphia PA. In general, while Jerry's vocals may not be top-notch, his playing throughout is. We start out with a bouncy 'Iko,Iko', always flavored with Brent's tasty keyboards. A somewhat unique stand-alone 'Saint of Circumstance' follows and flows into one of the highlights here, a long and well-developed 'He's Gone'. Drums and Space flow into a nice uptempo 'Truckin', which disolves into a very tasty, if short, 'Other One'. The Wharf Rat follows, and while I would have preferred a longer denounment here, the 'Throwin' Stones', 'Not Fade Away' was an enjoyable if somewhat predictable closing of this set. Jerry returns with a sweet 'It's All Over Now, Baby Blue' encore.

0:06.3	This week we're going to continue with the second set from the band's performance

0:23.9	but just about 15 minutes before dissolving into drums in space there's some great
0:28.4	jamming in there I think you'll enjoy it out of space comes a nice trucking into a great other one. The other one is not particularly long
0:36.8	when it's got some intense jamming in it. I think you'll like it. Out of the other one comes
0:40.7	a wharf rat. The ending's a bit rushed into throwing stones.
0:44.0	The throwing stones is well played in to not fade away. They then go off after the
0:50.7	crowd participation and come back and do a great it's all over now baby blue
0:56.3	encore so it's a nice way to end the set and hopefully you'll enjoy it so thank you for your kind notes.
