Hello and welcome the Dead Pod for the week of April 28th 2017.

This is a professor I'm so glad to you pick us up this week.

This week I'm going to bring you a great show often overlooked

from the spring of 1971. This comes to us from April 21st,

1971. Rhode Island Auditorium, Providence, Rhode Island. We'll hear the first

set this week in the second set next week. It's really a good show. It's kind of

overshadowed by the closing of Winterland shows that followed, but I think you'll

enjoy this one. Starts out with a rocket Casey Jones. Mama tried follows Big

Boss Man.

Pigpen does a great solo with the harp there, you're going to really enjoy it.

Loser, still young and played very nicely here, it follows.

Trucking into drums, the drums is really well played just

Billy on the kit the other one follows they do a great job there into war frat hard to

handle follows this is one to keep you'll really enjoy Pig on this one. Cumberland Blues follows a real

rocking version. A great bird song clocks in a little over eight minutes. They closed

set one with me and Bobby McGee. Hope you enjoy this one.
