Summary

For several years, one of my favorite trips when Spring rolled around was to go down to Atlanta when the magnolias were bloomin' to see the boys during Spring tour. While the Omni might not have been the greatest venue, I always had a wonderful time. This week I decided to bring you a show from there that took place back on March 28, 1989.

This was has a great trifecta to start, with a wonderful 'Let the Good Times Roll' to open things going into a sparkling 'Franklin's Tower'. Bobby works up a sweat on a hot 'Feel Like a Stranger' before things slow a bit with Jerry's 'Stagger Lee' - a song I don't usually love - but I rather like this version. Bob brings out the Dylan with 'Stuck Inside of Mobile'. 'Ramble on Rose' has that southern ragtime feel to it to fit right in. They close the first set with a fine 'Let It Grow' into a rockin' 'Don't Ease Me In'.

This is a very nice recording and I hope you find it enjoyable too..

0:04.5	so glad you picked us up this week. This week I'm going to bring you a show from a
0:10.7	spring venue that I used to enjoy going to, I used to enjoy the scene and that was the Omni
0:15.5	in Atlanta, Georgia. This one comes to us from March 28th, 1989. Really fine recording,
0:21.2	and I think this first set has some excellent highlights. It starts out with really a fine
0:26.4	version of Let The Good Times, Roll Good Times, and Brent's all over with us. Jerry's in fine
0:32.4	voice. I think you'll enjoy it. Then it goes into a very nimble Franklin's tower. It's
0:37.4	very nice to hear outside of its usual location, and then that goes into a feel like a stranger.
0:43.4	Again, not where it usually is slotted. Bobby's on fire in this one. I think it sounds really great.
0:49.1	Stagger Lee follows in a quite nice version. Then stuck inside of Mobile with the Memphis Blues
0:54.2	again, a great ramble on Rose, and they close the set with Let It Grow into Don't Ease Me In.
0:59.8	It's a fine first set and a great recording, and brought back some memories. For me,
