Summary

This week, something I try not to do too often, but yes, another show from 1979! And better yet, another audience source!

Yes, this is a short first set, but despite the fact that it is one of Keith and Donna's last shows (they were to play only two more times with the Dead), the band sounds tight and the versions for the most part sparkle. Keith certainly doesn't contribute much here, but the rest of the members make up for it in my opinion.

My favorites here include a sparkling 'Big River' and Bobby on 'Minglewood'. Deal is short but sweet and 'Jack Straw' rages..

0:10.0	I'm going to bring you a show from one of my from a real favorite venue but an old one
0:16.0	this comes to us from Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hall, Kansas City, Kansas

0:23.6	In the tradition of last week, this first set is a really pretty nice audience recording,
0:27.9	and I decided to bring it to you because I thought it was in the effort of being complete.

0:34.0	to next week. But the sound on the first set's quite good. First sets quite
0:38.2	short but the band is raging throughout I think and I think you'll enjoy it.

0:46.0	Jerry does a nice job on that big river.

0:50.0	New Minglewood Blues.

0:52.0	Brown-eyed women follows then a nice it's all over now.
0:55.8	A short but smoking deal and they close with a really raging jack straw. I think you'll enjoy it.
