Summary

We roll into December with a show from late fall 1990 - this one from McNichols Arena in Denver Colorado on December 13th, 1990.

This is a fine, energetic show, and starts off with a very uptempo Jack Straw into Sugaree. 'Wang Dang Doodle' follows to get everyone dancin', then Jer slows it down a touch with 'Friend of the Devil'.

Uncle>Big River contain some tasty Garcia tones, and I think the 'Ramble on Rose' that follows is appreciable different without Brent's touch, but still tight. Bobby brings out the 'Memphis Blues Again' and the boys end the set with their penultimate performance of Hornsby's 'Valley Road'.

0:03.1	This is a professor I'm so glad you could pick us up this week.
0:06.2	This week I decided to jump ahead about 10 years to a show took place in December 13th,
0:10.9	1990. McNichols Arena, Denver, Colorado.
0:15.0	I played the previous night of this run about six years ago on the Dead Pod,
0:19.0	but this one's equally good.
0:21.0	It's a new source.
0:22.0	It's from Don Pearson's Ultra Matrix mix and I think it sounds
0:26.4	great. This is a really Rollican show, especially in the first set. Bruce is with the band.
0:31.6	Of course, this is after Brent's untimely passing, so we have Bruce and
0:37.0	Vincent the band and they start out with a great jackstrop, very up-tempo, highly energized,
0:42.0	into Shuggery. Then a fun Wang Dang Doodle. tempo, highly energized, into sugary.
0:43.3	Then a fun wang dang doodle, a friend of the devil
0:45.7	follows slows down a little bit.
0:47.6	And some nice me and my uncle into Big River.
0:50.7	Let's listen to Jerry's guitar on those.
0:54.0	Ramble on Rose Fellows then stuck inside of Mobile with the Memphis Blues again.
0:59.0	The clothes is set with one of the few versions of Valley Road that the dead ever performed.
1:05.0	Of course, at Bruce Worsby's single.
1:09.0	And I think they do have an exceptional job on it.
1:11.0	So I hope you enjoy this as much as I do. It's nice to hear something
1:15.1	from another high water mark of the band, I think 1990 was this post-Brent 1990. They did some pretty nice stuff for a while. So I like this one. Hope you do too and hope you're doing well.
