Merry Christmas!

I hope that this edition of the Deadpod finds you safe and warm with those you love. I hope the music brings a smile and a memory of happier times and places.. It is my reward to think that it makes someone a little happier..

this week the second set form the Fabulous Fox in St. Louis Missouri on December 12, 1971.

This one starts with a fabulous Pigpen 'Good Lovin', followed by a sweet 'Brokedown Palace'. It includes, just for Christmas, a fun 'Run Rudolph Run', and a beautiful 'Comes a Time'. The most interesting segment is probably post-drums, when we get a unique 'Other One>Sitting On Top of the World>Other One'.

0:18.5	starts out with a fabulous good loving. Pigpen in all his glory here. This one goes on for over 18 minutes. It's really nice to have
0:26.4	this one come back in the rotation at this point of their band's career and they do a great job

0:35.4	Playing in the band, then Pigpen does our Christmas special run,

0:41.2	Always fun to hear this time a year. Deal follows. Sugar Magnolia and then a beautiful
0:46.1	comes of time. Trucking into drums into the other one, into sitting on top of the world,
0:50.8	into the other one. Believe me that transition into sitting on top
0:55.4	of the world and out of that into the other one has to be heard to be believed.
0:58.9	Then it goes in and not fade away going down the road feeling bad and a short
1:04.4	unfortunately broken or cut up cut version of not fade away. They come back for
1:09.6	one more Saturday night encore. What a show. I know this was originally a radio
1:14.4	broadcast. I'm not sure of the lineage on this particular recording but it does
