Summary

This week's Deadpod features the second set from the Fabulous Fox Theater in Atlanta Georgia on October 29, 1985.

They come out strong with a fine version of 'Mississippi Half-Step' into 'Franklin's Tower' - lots of energy and interplay here, and the first Franklin's not out of Slipknot since '83. . This then goes into a very good 'Sailor>Saint' .. one of the last five times they would ever play this combo, ever. A lovely 'Crazy Fingers' follows, although Jer gets lost in the lyrics, its a lovely transition into Drums..

'The Wheel' comes out of Space in a swirl of sound, and Phil is bombing on 'The Other One' that follows.. after 'Wharf Rat' they close the set with 'Johnny B. Goode' which hadn't had this slot since December 81..

0:10.2	In the band's performance at the Fabulous Fox Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia,
0:13.3	October 29th, 1985. This is quite a good second set.
0:17.7	Lots of energy here. It starts out with a nice,
0:19.9	Mississippi half-step into Franklin's Tower, one of the, uh, uh,
0:24.2	kind of sweet standalone Franklin Tower, into a nice,
0:26.8	smooth Sailor-Saint combination.
0:29.3	Really nice transition there. I think you'll enjoy it.
0:32.1	Crazy fingers, fellows, and Jerry has some great guitar work here.
0:35.6	He gets a bit lost in the lyrics, but, uh, coming out of Crazy Fingers into drums and
0:40.0	space is excellent. I think you'll enjoy it.
0:43.8	Out of space, we get another sublime version of the wheel,
0:47.8	very well done, into a raucous other one.
0:50.9	I think Phil blows a speaker here into a nice warfare,
0:54.4	and they close the set with Johnny Be Good.
0:56.8	They come back with a broke down palace encore.
0:59.1	That's very nicely done. All throughout the set is, uh,
1:02.4	quite nicely, quite well played, I think, and a lot of energy in it.
