Hello and welcome Dead Pot for the week of October 16th 2015. This is a professor so glad you could pick us up this week

This week we're going to continue with our presentation of the second set and part of the third set from the Grateful Dead's performance at the Warfield Theater,

San Francisco, California, October the 10th, 1980.

This of course is a very, one of those famous fall of 80 sets where the dead brought out an acoustic set. We heard that last week, but really the electric sets in two and three, sets two and three, are good enough to warrant some attention. And I decided to play this entire show.

It was a request from one of our listeners.

Tonight we're not going to be able to play all the rest of the show, but we're going to play

the rest of the show, but we're going to play the rest of set two and a couple songs from set three. We'll start out with

beat it on down the line a real nice road Jimmy new Mingewood Blues and then a

great closer all Thea into Jackstrand this jackstrue is widely praised as one of the best ever.

I think you'll enjoy it.

Then we'll hear the beginning of set three with probably the highlight of the electric

portions of the show which had is a great scarlet fire it goes on

about almost 19 minutes and I think you'll really enjoy it.

We'll close this week's dead pod

and they don't tear the old building down but boy sometimes you wonder.
