Summary

This week's Deadpod features a great audience recording of a fabulous show by the late Jerry Moore..this is from January 20, 1979 at Shea's Theater in Buffalo New York.

I think this is a great first set... all of these are performed so very well. I especially love the tone of Garcia's work on 'Sugaree' and 'It's All Over Now'.. at times the vocals are a little low in the mix, but in the words of Mickey Hart - turn it up! :) The rest of this set is nothing to sneeze at either, especially the smoking hot 'Jack Straw' to close it out..

One note .. apparently the show started some 2 hours late ;)

This was recorded by the late Jerry Moore.

It's really a fine recording. I think it captures this show in a wonderful manner. And there's no soundboard available, but I don't think this one's your little to lose anything with this audience recording. The vocals at times are a little low, but, you know, just turn it up. It's not a bad. Not a bad recording at all. I think you'll enjoy it. And the playing is fabulous on this. The boys start out with Promise Land and then a wonderful sugary. I really love Garcia's work here and the tone of his guitar. I think you'll enjoy it. El Paso Fowles, Peggyo. A great, it's all over now. I really was impressed by this one.
