Summary

As we turn the calendar to 2026, we present the second set from the band's performance at the Boston Music Hall on December 1, 1973.

This is a very interesting second set, with songs that you don't always associate with that second set making an appearance. They open with what is often a set closer - 'Around and Around' Then ease into some more traditional fare, with 'They Love Each Other' and 'Me & My Uncle' Things get interesting for me with 'Me and Bobby McGee' a favorite from the period, then 'Mississippi Half-Step' before we get to the real meat of set 2 with a 'Playin' In The Band> Uncle John's Band'>Playin' sandwich. a nice 'Row Jimmy folows then a rocking 'Greatest Story' and a fine 'Not Fade Away'>Goin Down the Road Feelin' Bad'.

0:07.7	This week we're going to continue with our presentation of the band's performance
0:11.5	at the Boston Music Hall in Boston, Massachusetts.

0:18.5	The second set's quite an interesting set list, I think.
0:21.6	It starts out with, I guess, an appeal to the audience to get out of the aisles, not to crowd the stage.
0:31.6	It goes on a bit. Then we get them around and around. Interesting start. They love each other. Me and my uncle, don't ease me in.
0:39.0	Then me and Bobby McGee, Mississippi Halfstep into playing in the band, into Uncle John's band, back into playing in the band.
0:45.9	This is really the highlight of the second set. There's some interesting endeavors going on there that I think you'll enjoy.
0:54.2	Roe Jimmy follows unusual location for that.
0:57.3	Greatest story ever told.
0:59.1	Then they close it out with not fade away into going down the road feeling bad into one more Saturday night.
1:06.5	Quite an interesting set list and of course, 1973 I think was a great year for the boys.
