I am literally physically ill over this surgeon general nomination.

The nomination of Nicole Sapphire, a radiologist, a breast imager, someone who is not even a clinician,

for a job that concerns public health and public policy,

we need someone in that role, like Casey Means,

like the person that they passed over,

someone who is brilliant, who graduated top of her class

in medical school, and realized all the things

that were wrong about our system and spent her career fixing them, spent her career making

millions of people better and healthier. And instead, we nominate this person who is wholly unqualified, who will be nothing but a setback for all of us.

How can this happen?

We would have been better off with Peter Ritea, and he's a benefile.
