And we have the unfortunate duty of breaking down a 12-6 tough, tough game to watch. Bad weather

contributed, but some bad football on display as well. A loss that puts the 49ers, relatively

speaking, I think you can pretty much stick a fork in them at this point. I don't think

they're going to be making the playoffs. I think 9 and 8 is too far. The ram's very much still in

contention. Getting a wild card in the NFC probably requires the commanders to fall off a little bit

these final few weeks of the season, but they're very much still alive and they did. They did just

enough, I think, in this game the the stat that told the

story of the game for me is more of the kind of storyline and it's devondrey campbell not coming

into that game in the second half and look it's not my job to to tell you about football mentality

and i'm not going to try and get into any kind of hot take about quitting on the team or different things like that.

From the conversations the media had with Kyle Shanahan and the 49ers players after the game, though,

it's pretty clear that Devondry Campbell did refuse to come back into this game.

And this is a game that was 9-6 until the Rams effectively ran out the clock on their final

field goal drive to make it 12-6, which is the score they wound up winning the game.

And I think there's, I just feel like there's a fair amount of blame that you can actually

apportion to this loss to Campbell not going into this game.

So this grade on the season coming into this game was 58.3,

but he had earned PFF grades as 75.5 and 80.3 over the past two weeks.

He drops the bench in this one because Drey Greenlaw is back in the game.

Dreg Greenlaw, by the way, who was awesome in this game for the first two and a half quarters
