The The Do you think there is a connection between rest and intuition?

0:32.3

Yes.

0:33.1

There is a deep connection between rest and intuition.

0:37.2

So often I will sort of speak to the relationship

0:41.9

between intuition and anxiety because for people who have anxiety, present company included,

0:50.7

it can be hard to discern what where one ends and the other begins and what I share with people

0:58.6

is the fact that anxiety is a siren anxiety is loud anxiety mounts it builds it usually is

1:09.5

activated by an event or a circumstance. Let's say you sent a text to

1:15.5

someone and then you didn't receive a response in the time frame you were expecting to.

1:20.6

And then from there, you're going to start questioning what you said or maybe you're worried

1:25.7

about that person. Are they okay? Did they get to their

1:28.3

destination? And then anxiety is going to find you in this sort of spiralic mounting experience

1:36.2

that if you think that's intuition, you're going to get really scared. You know, you're going to find

1:42.1

yourself really, really freaked out about what your

1:46.9

brain is coming up with, what scenarios you're creating. But that is never intuition, because

1:55.1

intuition doesn't speak like that. Intuition is not emotional. Intuition is very soft. Intuition is a whisper. And in order for us to be

2:09.4

open to receiving intuition, our nervous system needs to be calm enough to receive it, which means we need rest. We need rest in our

2:22.2

actions. We need rest in our schedule. We need to be rested. We need to have a regulated,

2:29.9

calm, peaceful nervous system in order for us to receive intuitive pings. Because intuition cannot

2:39.7

compete with that cacophony of noise that anxiety creates. So rest, meditation, um, sleep, calm spaces, calm environments, and cultivating that and really

2:56.9

prioritizing that is key in being able to work with your intuition. Do you have a particular

3:03.9

practice that helps ground you into your intuition? I do. So I have a yoga practice that I
