And a pleasant afternoon to you from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. It's Quirian Company on a Thursday.

0:06.9

I am Jimmy Cook, manning the airwaves for you until our namesake himself, Jake Query,

0:12.9

who is, as you know, very busy around the month of May being a part of IndyCar Radio Network.

0:17.9

That's not today's obligation, just a function he's involved with today.

0:22.0

So Jake will be joining us and regathering control of the ship, assuming we can keep it high above the

0:27.9

high seas as the day unfolds right around 1 o'clock. But a busy day for us here at the

0:33.1

Indianapolis Motor Speedway. If you've not had an opportunity to come out here yet for the month of May,

0:38.1

you haven't missed much in terms of weather-wise the last couple of days.

0:42.3

Rain has plagued where things have gone from start to finish both yesterday and Wednesday.

0:49.1

And now today it's been picturesque, 72 degrees, partly cloudy skies, no weather issues to report today.

0:57.7

As you can hear the cars zooming by just adjacent to us here from Pagoda Plaza.

1:03.9

But as we mentioned, very busy day to day, cold schedule released last night and a lot of

1:08.8

matchups that we will highlight over the course of this opening

1:11.8

segment. Out of the gate, not a big surprise with where things started. If you perhaps were

1:16.8

a participant in Jim Ursay's schedule contests of trying to map things out, perhaps it made

1:23.3

sense to have an opening season matchup against the Houston Texans. This is a budding rivalry

1:29.9

within the AFC South or perhaps a rivalry rejuvenated, if you will, with this era of young

1:36.2

quarterbacks. We knew going in to last season that there was going to be a connection at the

1:41.2

hip to some extent between C.J. Stroud and Anthony Richardson, to a lesser

1:46.4

extent, Will Levis because they all were drafted in that same draft class in 2023. Then when you

1:52.7

add in that little extra sprinkle of content from week 18 last year, where the Colts are a play

1:59.5

away from extending a potential scoring drive to go on
