Each prisoner when he comes in goes through an area called reception, where he's

strip searched, put in the prison close, and the first question he's always asked is, have you

any gang affiliations, or is there anyone that you know of in here that might be willing to arm you?

And very often the answer is yes.

Almost 80 Kinnett and gang members were jailed in Ireland in the five years to 2022.
