What makes you happy?

I want to talk to you about that. But I also want to tell you a story that you may

know because I told it to our mutual friend Andy

but I want to get your reaction. So I wrote a profile Ted Cruz a while back when you guys were

running against each other. Do you remember that? Do you remember running

against Ted Cruz? I do remember running against Ted Cruz and I actually remember

meeting you during that race. So yes. Okay got our general time frame. So I was talking to someone from

the Cruz campaign and I said is it hard for y'all to run against a cool guy? Like somebody who's like kind of the

popular kid who's like skateboards and cool music and was in a band and girls like him and is that hard?

And this campaign person looked at me and said, you know, and a John Hughes movie, he'd be the villain.

So I want to ask you, one, have you ever thought that you might be a villain in a John

Hughes movie and two do you get that story I think I get that story but first of all

John Hughes villain no yes, yes, kind of?

No, and I'll tell you why, despite the very generous

characterization that you just offered,

I was always throughout high school and outsider and just I wasn't a jock I wasn't cool you know I didn't have a girlfriend I throughout high school never

had a beer it just I just never really did anything that the cool kids or the

popular kids did.

And I was really a nerd.
