David, thanks so much for joining me from our Jerusalem office.

I'm well. Thank you.

It's almost a month and a half into the U.S. brokered ceasefire in Gaza, and Hamas is rooting

itself ever deeper into the strip and continuing its refusal to lay down its arms.

At the same time, the U.S. is overtly supporting Israel in its continued strikes against

Chazbalah in the north almost a year into the ceasefire there.

So David will weigh in on the status of both of these ceasefires, and we're also in an election

year.

And although campaigning is yet to fully gear up, the spin wheels are already turning and

we'll hear how this may be affecting politicians' behaviors.

All of this and more when we're back.

And we're back. I'm Amanda Borcheldan here with our editor, David Horowitz. Since the ceasefire in Lebanon began a year ago, there have been some 331 killed and 945 wounded in Lebanon,

according to its health ministry.

Overnight, the White House expressed its support for Israel's right to defend itself

following an IDF strike over the weekend that killed Hezbollah, Chief of Staff,

Haitham Ali, Tabatabai.

Now, David, we're hearing overt support from the White House here, and this support came during a Fox News interview with White House Press Secretary Carolyn Levitt. So she said during this interview that she has not specifically asked the president about this particular strike, but she said, quote,

but of course, the president supports Israel's right to defend itself and to take out terrorist
