Thank you for getting all my most important credits in there.

I want to talk to you about politics which I know is not like your

primary area of expertise. Yeah it's certainly something I think about and feel bad about all the time so this is it's it's on top of mind and

talk about and make jokes about.

But actually there is a part of this that is your expertise, which is unions, something that you are involved in actually.

Yes, that is an area of personal investment and pride for me.

I am a council member of the WGA E, the Writers Guild of America,

East Chapter Union was, I think, pretty, I would say I was pretty neck deep in the strike efforts last year which was it was a real it was a really

fascinating time and really difficult time in a lot of ways but really wonderful to see so many people

pulling together for the same class.

And it's relevant to our discussion today because last night was the first night of the Democratic

National Convention.

And unions have been a huge part of Democratic politics since the beginning of the party,

basically. The Democratic machine in many cities relied on unions.
