There is a decision tonight in the ongoing battle between the Justice Department and former

President Trump's legal team in the classified documents case.

In a closed-door meeting, federal judge Barrel Howell told prosecutors she would not grant

DOJ's request to hold Trump's office in contempt.

At least not yet.

The Justice Department wants Trump's lawyers to state under oath that they've complied

with a grand jury subpoena demanding the return of classified records.

The New York Times reports the judge, how, quote, let it to the Justice Department and

Mr. Trump's team to resolve the department's concerns whether the former president might

have more classified documents at his properties, or more than a year of efforts by the federal

government to retrieve them.
