Welcome to the Heart Dive podcast.

Well, Holly took us through the first 10 chapters of Hebrews and it was fire.

I listened to it as we were driving in our RV, and I got to tell you, it was Holy Spirit

goosebumps the entire time. So good. Today we are going to finish out the book of Hebrews,

chapters 11 through 13, reading from the ESV by Crossway translation. But before we get started,

we just want to welcome you to Bible study. We're so glad that you're with us. We've only got

a few days left in this year, a few days left to finish out our goal of reading through the Bible in one year.

And even if you took longer than a year, so be it. You are still finishing something that most

people will never do in their lifetime. And we're not doing it because we're trying to get a

gold star in heaven or

anything like that. But the effort that you have put in to wanting to know God and all of his

richness and all of his promises, it's going to allow you to experience heaven on earth

before you even get there. Because it's not the reading of the Bible that gets us to heaven

anyway. We're all going to go there if we have the faith to believe that we are forgiven and we are saved by grace, but it's one of those disciplines that comes from a place of obedience and wanting to know him and desiring to know him. So it all kind of goes hand in hand, and I'm just glad that we got to do this together.
