0:00.0	Hey Bible readers, I'm Tara Lee Cobble and I'm your host for the Bible Recap.
0:13.2	When we left off yesterday, Paul was explaining that we must talk about the gospel of Christ
0:17.6	because people can't believe in a God whose truth they've never heard.
0:20.8	And since God has promised to save people from among every nation, then his people have
0:24.8	got to start spreading the good news.
0:27.2	There's been considerable focus on getting the word out to the Gentiles, so Paul opens
0:31.2	chapter 11 with some details about the future of ethnic Israel.
0:34.8	Has God written them off?
0:36.8	Paul says absolutely not.
0:38.7	The elect among ethnic Israel have been preserved as a remnant, just like God did in a
0:42.8	largest day.
0:44.1	Those who know God will be preserved, but as always, the people who know God aren't divided
0:49.2	along ethnic lines but along faith lines.
0:52.4	In verse 2, Paul says God has never rejected his elect in the past and that remains true
0:56.5	in the present.
0:57.6	In verse 5, he says, so too at the present time there is a remnant chosen by grace.
1:03.9	Salvation has always only come to us by the grace given by God.
1:07.8	Some received it and sadly some didn't.
1:10.4	And because God wants his kingdom to be full and diverse, then their rejection is the opportunity
1:15.1	to spread the gospel to the Gentiles.
1:17.3	But even with that, God's using it as an opportunity to entice ethnic Israel back to
1:21.9	himself.
