Thank you for joining us as we continue with our year-long journey,

reading the diary of St. Maria Faustina Kovalska from beginning to end.

Today we read a note from St. Faustina to Father Sopochko on the short prayers that he had asked for.

The short prayers which you asked for, Father,

the words which concerned this large image are,

Jesus, I trust in you. However, I came to know that the whole formula was to be as

follows. I am offering people a vessel with which they are to keep coming for graces to the

fountain of mercy. That vessel is this image with the signature, Jesus, I trust in you. Jesus's two promises. I promise

that the soul that will venerate this image will not perish. I also promise victory over its

enemies already here on earth, especially at the hour of death. I myself will

defend it as my own glory. The short prayer that Jesus taught me, O blood and water, which gushed forth

from the sweetest heart of Jesus as a fount of mercy for us, I trust in you.

The chaplet that Jesus taught me, ordering me to say it every day.

I am copying it word by word from the diary.

The next morning, when I entered chapel, I heard these words interiorly. Immediately recite the prayer

which I taught you yesterday. When I had said the prayer, in my soul I heard these words. This prayer

will serve to appease my wrath. You will recite it for nine days on the beads of the rosary in the following manner.

First of all, you will say one, Our Father, and Hail Mary, and the I believe in God.

Then on the Our Father beads you will say the following words.
