| 0:02.7 | I'm your Bible study friend, Kanoi. |
| 0:04.0 | Welcome to the Heart Dive podcast. |
| 0:12.6 | Starting a brand new book today as we near the end of Paul's third mission. |
| 0:17.9 | And while he was in Ephesus, he actually penned the book of first and second books, |
| 0:22.9 | I guess I should say first and second Corinthians. Really, I should say letters. That's what they were. |
| 0:27.1 | They were letters to the Church of Corinth. And so obviously the author being Paul, the audience being |
| 0:31.9 | the church. And this particular letter, even though it was addressed to them, obviously it was |
| 0:37.4 | intended to be read |
| 0:38.5 | to other Christians and particularly other churches in that region. The purpose was because |
| 0:43.7 | he received a word back from some other believers that they weren't doing so good. There was a lot |

| 0:56.5 | address their division, address any immorality, |
| 1:27.5 | and to kind of just set the record straight. So before we jump into that, if you could please help us out and hit your roll call button, that's the thumbs up button if you're part of the Heartdive family. And if you're new to this Bible study, let us know in the comments where you're watching from. and we highly suggest taking a look at the show notes or description box for all of the info about this ministry. Our website, heartdive.org, is another wonderful resource for you to check out. And I know several people have been asking, are you guys going to do this again? Because if so, I'm going to wait till January 1st. I would say don't wait. Because who knows if January 1st is going to be here, right? I mean, the Bible tells us to live for today. Like, if you know that God wants you to read his word, don't put it off. Get in his word today, and I assure you that no matter where you're at, whether you continue with us today in First Corinthians, or if you go back to day one and start in Genesis, he is going to minister to your heart, and he's going to bless that time together with you. And so let's go ahead and pray and get into God's word. Heavenly Father, thank you for this day. We are so grateful, Lord, as we come off of Thanksgiving for those of us who are studying in real time. And we just pray that we will be able to maintain that gratitude through the end of this year, finishing strong and entering into 2025, |
| 2:01.4 | just with that grateful heart. Because we do have reason to be thankful. The fact that we are |
| 2:06.7 | able to wake up every morning to brand new mercies that you give to us is more than enough reason |
| 2:12.0 | for us to say thank you. So we love you so much. And we are also grateful for our salvation. |
| 2:16.9 | We're grateful for the forgiveness |
| 2:18.1 | that you give to us. I pray, Lord, that you will show us if there is any unconfessed sin in our lives |
| 2:23.8 | so that we can make it right. Help us to forgive others also. And I just pray, Lord, that you will just |
| 2:28.7 | free us right now of any heaviness, any weight that is bearing down upon our shoulders, any condemnation that we may |
