Today we read a letter from St. Faustina to Father Sopochko from April of 1936.

I am sending you my best wishes for a happy Easter.

I wish you many divine graces from the risen Savior, and especially a great love of God,

because only this has meaning in man's life.

Father, I am immensely happy about all that has already been done for the glory of God,

and that everything is advancing according to God's will towards a happy end.

I now know that nothing can nullify God's will.

At present I am under the special care of the merciful heart of Jesus.

I have no one to whom I could open my soul and whom I could ask about many a mystery,

how I should understand it or carry it out in life.

Now I understand what it means to have a spiritual director,

but in all circumstances I conform myself to God's will and trust in God's mercy,

As you know, I continue to commune with the Lord Jesus interiorly. Jesus does not spare me his light and grants me a deep knowledge of myself.

I feel an extraordinary interior force which drives me to action,

and, because of this, an indescribable

torment afflicts my soul. Yet I would not exchange this agony for all the treasures of the world,
