Day 317 of Heart Dive 365. I'm your Bible study friend Kanoi. Welcome to the Heart Dive podcast.

Revisiting some accounts today, including Peter denying Jesus three times, as well as his resurrection

once again in the book of John, chapters 18 and 19,

and then Luke 23. We're going to flip-flop what it says on the reading plan. We're actually

going to read John 18 and 19 first, and then we'll jump into Luke 23 just because it comes first

So Heavenly Father, we open our hearts to be for you today. We humble ourselves, and we just thank you so much for allowing us to have the freedom to be able to read your word. And so as we do, surrender ourselves to you, we open ourselves up, Lord, and we ask Holy Spirit

that you will have your way. Open our ears, our eyes to be able to see you, to hear you. And also,

please make sure that our hearts are fertile soil so that when your word enters within and that

seed gets planted, that there will be fruit that goes forth. Let us hear things we've never heard

before. Speak to us in a very personal way. I pray that your word will penetrate our hearts so that

we will be changed from glory to glory. Please forgive us for our sins, Lord. Clear out anything that is

keeping us from being able to have that free access to you. Thank you for the ability to be able to come to the throne room of grace each and every day where your mercies are new. Help us also to forgive others, Lord, and we just ask that you please keep us from the evil one. Keep us from temptation, Lord, so that we can continue to live our lives in holiness and in righteousness for as long as we live. We love you in Jesus' name. We pray. Amen.

All right. So we're starting off here in John chapter 18, verse one. When Jesus had spoken these words,

he went out with his disciples across the brook, Kidron. Now this is the brook that flows from the temple.

Remember, this is Passover time, and they are slaughtering hundreds of thousands of animals.

I think I saw the number like 256,000 or something like that.
