0:13.2	Today we open with Jesus telling the parable of the wedding feast.
0:16.4	This parable is really similar to the parable of the tenants which we first read in Matthew
0:20.6	21 and then read again today in Mark 12.
0:23.5	Both involve the master and his relationship with his son.
0:26.5	Both involve sending multiple rounds of servants to get a response from the people who refuse
0:30.6	and even kill them.
0:32.1	And both involve the master bringing justice for those who refuse him and showing generosity
0:36.3	to others.
0:37.8	In the wedding feast parable, the master orders his servants to go invite both good and bad
0:42.6	according to verse 10.
0:44.1	This would certainly have shocked the Pharisees.
0:46.5	They would consider themselves good but there'd be a gas that the bad were invited as well.
0:51.6	The master's approach to the wedding feast offends the pride of the self-righteous.
0:56.0	Everyone who is invited in, both good and bad, gets a wedding garment.
1:00.0	But Jesus points out that those who don't belong who don't have a wedding garment will
1:03.9	be cast out.
1:05.4	This wedding garment seems to be a parallel to the robes of righteousness God gives his children
1:09.9	when he adopts us into his family.
1:12.4	Whether these robes are figurative or literal or some combo doesn't really matter.
1:16.7	The point is that they mark us as God's righteous children.
1:20.3	As the Pharisees and other leaders grow more desperate for reasons to accuse Jesus, they
