Day 287 of Heart Dive 365.

0:02.2

I'm your Bible study friend Kanoi.

0:03.5

Welcome to the Heart Dive podcast.

0:12.4

Well, I hope everybody had a wonderful weekend if you're studying with us in real time.

0:16.5

I had an extremely exhausting but also really joyful weekend. We had some heart divers who came into town,

0:24.1

some of our volunteers. I got to meet them for the first time. I got to squeeze them. We got to

0:27.8

laugh. We got to eat and fellowship. It was a lot of fun. It was also my son's homecoming,

0:33.7

his very first homecoming. And so as a mother, that was really exciting. They're growing up so fast, you know? And so anyway, thank you so much for your grace. We are back on time. We're back on schedule again, as we promised. And so today we are jumping back into Matthew chapter 13, Luke chapter 8, reading from the ESB by Crossway Translation. And if you are new to this Bible study, If you started with us in the last couple of weeks or so, or if you just started with us in the New Testament,

0:38.2

we want to be... by Crossway Translation. And if you are new to this Bible study, if you started with us in the last

0:55.1

couple of weeks or so, or if you just started with us in the New Testament, we want to make sure that

0:59.0

you have all of the information that you need for this Bible study. We are following a chronological

1:03.7

reading plan. We do have it available for you now. It is free on our website where you can print out

1:09.3

the entire reading plan for the entire year, and we will continue to follow this reading plan even next year. So I encourage you to do that. We'll have that link in the description box. So make sure you check out below the video, the description box for all of that info, lots of links, lots of resources for you there. Or you can go to our website, heartdive.org. But if you're part of the Heartdive family and a Bible study friend, if you could please help us out by hitting your roll call button, the thumbs up button. It's just a tiny way to help support us in this channel and what we're doing so we can continue to spread God's word and get people excited about it. It's not an ego thing. It's not a pride thing. It's just so that you can stay afloat. Because if people don't like the content, YouTube is not going to push it out to anybody. And, you know, we're getting ready to start over on January 1st. And we want as many people as possible to have their lives transformed by God's word, by getting into it, by understanding it and reading it in its entirety. So we're going to go ahead and pray. Hope you guys are excited for it.

2:01.3

It's a brand new day, brand new week. So let's get into it. Heavenly Father, thank you so much for allowing us to wake up today. Thank you so much for the breath in our lungs. Thank you for the sun that rose this morning. We thank you, Lord, that your word is alive and active. It is sharper than a double-edged sword. So we know that it is going to do a work in us today. And we thank you for that. We're ready for it. And if we're not ready, Lord, I pray that you will get us ready. Please forgive us for our sins. Oh, God, we love you so much. And we just want to honor you with righteousness and holiness by living a life that is that way so that we can reflect your glory, reflect who you are, your goodness. So let us do that today, Lord. If there's something that we've been doing or something that we haven't done even, I pray that you'll show us, reveal it to us, and you always do so in such a kind and loving way. You never do it to condemn us, God. And so I thank you for that as well. But we just pray

2:52.4

that you will help us, give us the courage and the strength to go and get it right if there is

2:55.9

something that we need to do right now so that there is not a hindrance that keeps us from being

3:00.2

able to hear you and see you clearly. Because sometimes sin can do that. So we want to be free and

3:05.6

clear here before you today so that your Holy Spirit can do a work in us. We thank you for your Spirit, Lord, that continues to guide us, to comfort us, to bring light and revelation to your Word. We just ask that you will do that today. Help us to understand it with accuracy. We pray for more wisdom, Lord. We don't want to do it just to store up knowledge, but we want to be doers of the word. And so I pray that that will be the case today, that when we hear you speak something to us, or we hear prompting in our heart, God, may we be obedient to it. Help us to also forgive others. We know that is something you always ask us to do. And so if there is anybody that we are holding a grudge against or maybe who is creating a little bit of dissension within us, I pray that we will go to them and reconcile. It may hurt a little bit. And we know that it doesn't mean that we are declaring that we are wrong and they are right. We are just simply humbling ourselves and saying, you know what? I'm going to give you some grace here in this situation. I love you and I want you to be able to see God's forgiveness and what that means. And so let us be that light. Let us be that example. Bringing you glory in everything that we do, every word that we speak, every action that we do. We love you In Jesus' name, amen. Well, I believe the last time I met with you guys, it was the sermon on the Mount.

4:18.0

I love Jesus' teachings, right?

4:20.0

Like, don't you just love the newness that Jesus brought when he walked this earth?

4:25.0

So unconventional, we were talking about that in our heart dive retreat.

4:28.0

Like, Jesus is not stagnant, you know? He doesn't just do things the same old, same all, day in, day out. He doesn't change, but he will do a new thing in a new way. He will use new people. He will take the old. He'll clean it up and he'll make it into something shiny and bright, right? So he's done it with all of our lives, just the same way that he did when walked this earth, because he's still alive. He's still here. He's still doing stuff. So, jumping into some of the parables, starting off with the parable of the sower here in Matthew chapter 13, verse 1. That same day, Jesus went out of the house and sat beside the sea, and great crowds gathered about him so that he got into a boat and sat down.
