0:13.0	Today we drop in on Matthew and Mark.
0:15.1	In Matthew 8, a leper approaches Jesus and kneels at his feet.
0:19.3	This in itself is shocking because most lepers wouldn't dare approach people.
0:23.0	They have to live outside the city and they have to yell unclean when anyone is approaching
0:26.8	them.
0:27.8	The fact that Jesus is this approachable shows us his great kindness and humility.
0:32.3	Even the least lovely feel like they can come to him.
0:35.2	The leper also demonstrates great humility.
0:37.9	When he asks Jesus to do something for him, he has no entitlement, no demands, but he
0:42.9	knows what Jesus is capable of.
0:45.1	He says, Lord, if you will, you can make me clean.
0:49.3	And again, Jesus tells him not to let anyone know that he has healed him.
0:54.2	We've seen this a few times before, so let's address this.
0:57.2	Jesus told this leper to keep quiet, and he did the same thing with the guy we read about
1:00.7	in Luke 512 just two days ago.
1:03.0	But the woman he talked to yesterday in John 4 was allowed to tell everyone about him.
1:07.0	Does he want to be known or not?
1:08.6	Why does he keep changing his mind?
1:10.9	There are a few things that seem to be at play here.
1:13.6	First, you may notice as we keep reading that the times when he tells people to spread
1:17.6	the news about him happen when he's in the Gentile regions or dealing with non-Jews,
