0:07.0	Welcome back to the action-packed book of John. This guy is the George
0:17.0	Lucas of Gospel writers. He's got a story to tell and he wants you to catch how
0:20.6	exciting it is. So even though we're reading through the Bible chronologically, John
0:24.4	kind of throws us off. He has no intention of telling the story in order. That's not his goal.
0:30.0	Luke seems to be the one who makes the most effort at chronology, but even he throws us off sometimes.
0:34.8	Try not to get frustrated, just grab some popcorn and kick your feet up because it's truly the greatest story of all time.
0:41.2	A long time ago, in a Galilee far far away, Jesus performs the miracle
0:46.0	that is recognized as his very first public miracle, turning water into wine. By this
0:50.9	time it's clear his mother knows what he's capable of so when a problem arises
0:54.8	she asks him for help. His response seems harsh in English but in Aramaic the
1:00.0	language he speaks it isn't disrespectful at all.
1:03.0	Woman is a common way of addressing a female,
1:05.5	and what does this have to do with me?
1:07.8	Is actually more along the lines of,
1:10.0	you and I don't need to get involved with this.
1:12.0	Jesus is very measured and intentional about when and where he displays his power
1:16.5	and in front of whom.
1:18.1	His primary concern seems to be keeping with the Father's timeline
1:21.5	for revealing his identity as the Messiah.
1:24.0	Mary persists though and Jesus saves the wedding party.
1:27.0	By the way, this miracle accounts for roughly 600 to 900 bottles worth of wine.
