Hey Bible readers, I'm Tara Lee Cobble, and I'm your host for the Bible Recap.

0:12.7

The exiles have returned, the temple has been rebuilt, and the walls have been restored. But as we know,

0:18.4

God isn't concerned only with the details of where they live in worship.

0:21.4

He's also concerned about their hearts. Today, Ezra and Nehemiah team up to present the people

0:26.5

with God's word. Specifically, it was probably the five books of Moses, which are known as the

won't respond properly to something we misunderstand or

1:12.0

misapply. At times, what they're reading is heavy. We've been there. We know. And the people are

1:18.3

grieved over it all. But the priest remind them that this is actually worth rejoicing over.

1:23.6

Today is to be celebrated because it's a day God set apart to remind them about their relationship with him.

1:29.3

He reminds them that God is after their joy.

1:32.1

And that reminder should strengthen them.

1:34.4

So they end the day with a feast.

1:36.3
