Hey Bible readers, I'm Tara Lee Cobble and I'm your host for the Bible recap.

0:13.2

As you may know, 2020 is a leap year.

0:15.8

Both our reading plan and our principal journals only have 365 days.

0:20.5

Many of you have asked how we're planning to adjust.

0:23.4

Here's what we're suggesting.

0:25.1

We're set to finish the Old Testament on September 29th, day 273 in our reading plan, but we're

0:30.5

going to ask you to split that day's reading into two days, September 29th and September

0:35.5

30th.

0:36.6

It covers four chapters Malachi 1 through 4, so you'll read Malachi 1 through 2 on September

0:41.1

29th and you'll read Malachi 3 through 4 on September 30th.

0:45.3

On September 29th, when you've read Malachi 1 through 2, you'll get the recap for all

0:49.1

four chapters of Malachi, but then on September 30th, we'll drop the Old Testament review

0:54.2

episode for you, so you'll still have an episode for both days.

0:58.1

Then we'll all start the new Testament together on October 1st, along with all your friends

1:02.4

who want to join because they see how much you're loving it.

1:05.8

So that's how we'll handle the extra day of leap year by splitting the last day of the

1:09.2

Old Testament into two days reading on September 29th and September 30th.

1:13.9

For those of you who are using our plan on the Bible app, here is an important heads up.

1:18.6

If you're doing our plan on the Bible app alone, wait until October 1st, then click the

1:23.4

button that says Catch Me Up, and it will automatically adjust the dates for you.

1:27.8

However, if you're doing the reading plan on the Bible app with friends, you won't even

1:31.8

have a Catch Me Up button, so that's not an option for you.
