And so we're going to go ahead and get started in that, but first let's go ahead and prepare our hearts through prayer. Heavenly Father, we love you. We thank you for this day. Thank you for your new mercies. Thank you for being a good God. We thank you so much, Lord, that we get another chance to be able to live out your purpose for our lives today.

As we open up your word today, this is the daily manna that we need. This is our nourishment.

This is where we come to feed, to drink, to receive nourishment for this day, the strength for this day.

And so I just pray Holy Spirit that you will minister to our hearts in such a profound and personal way.

Please clear out any junk that's in our ears, anything that might be keeping us from seeing you properly,

any scales that might be on our eyes. We just ask that they fall off right now in the name of Jesus

and clear out our hearts, Lord, of any kind of impurity, anything that is keeping us from having that

clean fellowship with you,

that pure access to you. And so if we have any sin, Lord, that has gone unchecked, or maybe

it has been covered up, or maybe we're just not even aware of it, will you please reveal that to our

hearts today? We only want to grow with you and get better, Lord, and that means that there's got to be

some pruning in our hearts. There's got to be some pruning in our hearts.

There's got to be some things that die so that there can be a restoration, a true transformation

within our hearts. And we know that. We recognize it. And so help us to just act upon it today.

Help us to also forgive others. Lord, we know that whenever we hold them captive in bitterness

and anger and sometimes even trying to get revenge, Lord, we really that whenever we hold them captive in bitterness and anger and sometimes even trying

to get revenge, Lord, we really are imprisoning ourselves.

And so we want to be set free today.

And we know that in forgiving others, that will be one of the clear ties that need to be cut

so that we can walk in that freedom and in that wide expanse, that beautiful place that you

have laid out for us in this abundant life.
