0:07.0	Today we finished our 29th book of the Bible. We just finished
0:16.9	Lamentations which was possibly written by the prophet Jeremiah. Chapter 3 is a poem
0:21.6	about God's faithfulness in the midst of all the evil that seems so prevalent.
0:26.0	The author doesn't hold back in attributing these things to God, but as we know, these are things God
0:31.7	has done in response to the sins of the people and
0:34.4	despite attributing all this to God this is what he says about God in verses 22
0:39.4	through 24 the steadfast love of the Lord never ceases.
0:44.4	His mercies never come to an end.
0:46.8	They are new every morning.
0:49.1	Great is your faithfulness.
0:50.9	The Lord is my portion, says my soul. Therefore I will hope in
0:55.1	him. During Judah's struggle, the author is reminding himself of the truth
0:59.7	when it seems most untrue and most inaccessible.
1:04.0	When you feel it the least is when you need it the most.
1:07.2	In verses 25 through 27 he goes on to say,
1:10.5	the Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him.
1:14.3	It is good that one should wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.
1:18.3	It is good for a man that he bear the yoke in his youth.
1:21.6	Remember the yoke? Remember what that does? The author is saying that
1:26.1	challenges are actually beneficial to us and they're especially helpful when they come to us at a
1:31.1	young age because then we have the whole rest of our lives to receive those benefits.
