0:13.1	Today's chapters reiterated a lot of the themes we read about yesterday.
0:17.0	First, that God chose Israel to be His people and that they will continue to be His people
0:21.2	throughout the generations.
0:23.0	Second, that He is the One True God and anyone who worships idols is foolish and sinful
0:28.5	and wasteful because the idols they're worshiping are handmade and will ultimately be destroyed.
0:34.4	Third, God points out His sovereignty over all things.
0:39.2	While He has chosen Israel, there are some whom He has given undisturbing hearts and
0:43.6	closed eyes.
0:45.2	This is His judgment on their idolatry.
0:47.9	We first saw this in 6, 9, 10 and it shows up repeatedly in Isaiah and is even quoted by
0:53.6	Jesus in the New Testament, but part of being sovereign means that even those whose hearts
0:58.7	are far from Him are still used to service purposes.
1:02.5	We see this with King Cyrus again today.
1:05.0	Even though he wasn't a follower of Yahweh, God still uses him for His glory.
1:09.4	In 4428, God says, he shall fulfill all my purpose.
1:14.5	Chapter 45 starts out with a long passage about Cyrus, reminding us that we serve a God who
1:19.2	makes even His enemies' plans bend to His will.
1:22.9	God is the one who equips Cyrus, even though Cyrus doesn't know him.
1:26.5	God is working through Him.
1:28.4	God is doing the heavy lifting here, breaking the doors of bronze and cutting the bars of
1:31.9	iron, creating darkness and calamity, bringing rain and light and fruit, and ultimately,
