0:55.3	reconciliation. Yesterday, we talked with the minister of the sacrament of reconciliation and the great
0:59.6	dignity, the great responsibility that is placed upon the priest who's working by extension
1:05.1	of the bishop. Yet today, we get to talk about the effects of this sacrament. What happens
1:09.4	when we go to confession?
1:11.4	And not only do we experience forgiveness, of course, mercy, of course, it reconciles us with the
1:15.3	church. And also, it's an anticipation. I love this. It's an anticipation in a certain way
1:19.6	of the judgment to which we all will be subjected at the end of our earthly lives. In some
1:24.6	ways, it's practice of coming before God as we are with the full truth
1:28.2	that He is love and also that we have failed to love. And leaning into that, it's remarkable.
1:33.3	We're also going to talk about something that a lot of people have a lot of questions about.
1:36.9	We're talking about indulgences today. And so one of the questions is, wait, you guys still believe
1:40.5	in indulgences? And the answer is, look at paragraphs 1471 to 1473 the answer
1:45.6	is a big yes and we'll talk about that today before we launch in to today let's take a moment
1:51.1	and just call upon of the name of jesus christ and pray in the holy spirit to god our father
