0:13.2	Today we finished our 21st Book of the Bible.
0:16.4	Hosea continues today to prophesy to God's people, and he reminds them that there are consequences
0:21.4	for their sins.
0:22.4	Their hearts have wandered far from God, and it doesn't just show up in their religious

0:27.3	It shows up in their autonomous choice of leaders and how they don't consult God about
0:31.6	those decisions.
0:33.1	It shows up in the way they look to other nations for help and pay tribute to pagans instead
0:37.3	of trusting in God for their needs.
0:40.1	Our relationship with God isn't isolated to where we spend our Sunday mornings.
0:44.7	Nearness to God impacts every area of our lives, and so does turning away from Him.
0:51.4	They tried to solve the problem by becoming more religious, but they were just adding false
0:55.7	gods and pagan altars into the mix instead of turning to Yahweh.
