0:13.2	If you didn't have the chance to look this up, it might have been a bit confusing to you,
0:17.0	but today we have another nickname tag situation happening with King Azaraya of Judah.
0:22.0	He also goes by the name Uzaya.
0:25.0	When we read about him in second Kings, he's Azaraya, but when we read about him in second
0:28.8	Chronicles, he's Uzaya.
0:30.8	He's just taken over after his father's death and we don't hear much about him except
0:34.5	that he's a pretty good king.
0:36.1	High places notwithstanding because they're still standing, but then things take a turn.
0:41.9	After his people maybe invent the catapult and a series of military victories making
0:46.0	rich and famous, Azaraya grows prideful.
0:49.4	He decides he wants to burn incense in the temple in Jerusalem, which is a big no-no unless
0:55.5	you're a priest.
0:57.1	When the text describes this by saying, he was unfaithful to the Lord his God, it uses
1:02.0	the same word that is often used for marital unfaithfulness.
1:05.6	The actual priests are a guest and 81 of them, including one who shares the name Azaraya,
1:11.8	rush into rebuke him, but he's unrepentant.
1:15.2	And when he grows angry with the priests, God strikes him with leprosy.
1:19.8	What's interesting to me about this text is that it seems to indicate he never actually
1:23.9	lights the censor to burn the incense.
1:26.2	They stop him before he can.
1:28.4	And if that's true, then even though he doesn't physically commit the sin here, his heart
