0:07.0	Today was so good.
0:15.0	Elisha the Prophet is still working miracles to display God's character and there's so much of it to see.
0:21.0	Our first story is of a Syrian military commander named
0:24.6	Naman. Before he ever comes into a relationship with God, God has his hand on his
0:29.2	life. God grants him military victories, which wouldn't sound odd if he were an Israelite, but he's not.
0:34.8	He's actually one of Israel's enemies. Just a few days ago, Israel and Judah were at war with Syria.
0:41.8	In fact, in one of Syria's raids on Israel, Naman captured a girl and
0:46.0	brought her back to serve his family. She just so happened to mention that she knows a
0:50.6	guy who can heal Naman of his pesky leprosy.
0:53.0	Naman gets permission from the Syrian king to go seek healing, but Naman has to run things
0:58.4	past the king of Israel too. He's an enemy after all. What kind of king grants an enemy the right to get healed in their country?
1:06.0	Israel.
1:07.0	But the king of Israel doesn't actually think healing is possible.
1:10.0	In fact, he thinks the request is so preposterous that Naman must actually be trying to pick a fight.
1:17.0	But Elisha finds out about it, knows it's legit, and sends for Naman.
1:21.0	Elisha gives Naman some unconventional advice for healing.
1:25.0	Naman is used to healing rituals performed by pagans,
1:28.0	so when Elisha tells him to take seven baths,
1:30.0	and in a filthy river no less, he's furious.
1:34.0	He's come all this way to get a lesson on hygiene,
1:37.0	but his servants are like, hey, what have you got to lose?
