Summary

Congratulations, you've made it about halfway through the Bible in a Year journey! Today, we read again about King Ahaz's unfaithfulness in 2 Kings. We are also introduced to the prophet Micah, who is all about judgement and hope, and we read one of Fr. Mike's favorite psalms. Today's readings are 2 Kings 16, Micah 1-4, and Psalm 139.

0:21.1	It is day 182, we are reading from 2nd Kings chapter 16 from Micah chapters 1, 2, 3 and 4,
0:27.4	and we're also praying Psalm 139, one of my favorite Psalms in the Bible.
0:32.4	I have a lot of favorites, I guess.
0:33.9	But we also are introduced to the prophet Micah, which is pretty phenomenal.
0:37.0	Micah is a contemporary of Isaiah in the Old Testament, and he is prophesying not just to the people
0:45.1	of Israel, he's prophesying to the people of Judah, as well as prophesying to all of God's people
0:49.2	and calling them back to repentance, telling them what's going to happen.
0:52.1	If they don't repent and don't back to the Lord, sounds like a prophet.
0:54.7	He is, so we're reading from Micah 1 through 4 today and then tomorrow from Micah 5 through 7.
1:00.4	As always, the Bible translation that I am reading from is the revised standard version.
