0:13.0	Today we finished our 15th book of the Bible. Congratulations! And even though there are 66 books,
0:19.9	we're actually almost to the halfway point in our first
0:22.4	trip through the Bible together. Let's see what the wise men had to say to us today in Proverbs.
0:28.3	Chapter 30 is written by a man named Agur, and it's the only place in scripture where his name occurs.
0:33.7	Some people think this may have been one of Solomon's pseudonyms, but no one knows for sure.
0:38.2	What we do know is that he has a different approach to wisdom literature than most other
0:42.3	wisdom authors. They typically start out by saying something like, listen up, I'm about
0:46.9	to drop all my wisdom on you. But he opens with something closer to, hey, nice to meet you,
0:52.8	I'm an idiot. He's not just being self-deprecating here.
0:56.3	He's driving home a point. He's saying that his wisdom in comparison to God's wisdom is
1:01.4	absolutely zero. He uses a lot of imagery that's reminiscent of when God spoke to Job,
1:07.0	and he points out that God is so much more powerful and wise than any of us.
1:11.5	In verse 4, he also ends with a question that could be prophetic.
1:15.2	He's talking about God and his power, and he says,
1:18.2	Who has established all the ends of the earth?
1:20.9	What is his name and his son's name?
1:23.2	Surely you know.
1:25.0	I do. I know him.
1:27.3	Verse 6 is a reminder of why this trip we're taking
